Bridget Jones!!!

Dear diary,

today is the big day!!!! Yuhuuuuuu!
'Mad about the Boy', the third Bridget Jones novel by Helen Fielding will be officially published today and my heart and soul are overfilled with joy. I can hardly put into words how happy those chick-lit novels have made me in the past and want to personally (for the off chance that she has nothing better to do today than reading our blog) thank Helen Fielding for deciding to bless us with more from Bridget.
From a feminist point of view, some might say that the novels (and movies) are all about getting the man and keeping the man and that the character of Bridget is a stereotypical female portrail of blablablablabla.
The part of me that feels more than thinks, that is mainly a girl, not mainly a cultural studies student, loves Bridget, her humour, her honesty, her quest for someone who loves her 'just the way she is'.
I preordered the book (yes, on Amazon. Shoot me) and now feel like a three year old waiting for Santa (in the form of the mailman).

Much love to all of you,

Bambi

Liebes Tagebuch,

heute ist der große Tag!!! Juhuuuuuu!

Bambi
